Monthly Social and Business Meetings
Once a month members gather for a group social and business meeting. During the meeting we vote on issues that need to be taken care of, and we decide on the calendar for the following month. As always children are welcome and usually play in a nearby area. Occasionally, we have a guest speaker or discussion topic planned.
Local Activities
During the month members often meet at kid-friendly locations. Past visits include the Johnson Nature Center, Cranbrook Institute of Science, the Detroit Zoo, Yates and Franklin Cider Mills, Jungle Java, and the Romp and Stomp in Ferndale, among others.
Play Dates
During the month members volunteer to host play dates at their homes. The play dates are typically scheduled for a morning or afternoon time. The kids get to play with each other and the moms have a chance to relax and socialize.
MOMS Night Out
Once a month moms meet up to go out without the kids. Activities vary and can be anything from meeting up for appetizers and drinks to going to a movie. This evening event is a way for mom to get out for a night and socialize with other moms.
Annual Service Project
At least once a year our chapter will be participating in a service project. If you have an good ideas please let us know!
